Which Minecraft versions and loaders?
Opus and the Bestiary run on NeoForge 1.21.1. Remains and Roads run on NeoForge 1.21.1 and Forge 1.20.1, as separate files.
What does Opus need?
Vaskar's Remains and the Bestiary, installed beside it.
Is the war in Opus over?
No. The peoples are at war right now: they raid each other's farms, march on each other and take prisoners. You can pick a side, switch sides or make enemies of all of them.
Can I use the mods on a server?
Yes. Install them on the server and on every client.
Can I put them in a modpack?
Yes. Pack makers can choose which places get roads in Roads' config; ask in the Discord if something else needs a switch.
Where are the great beasts?
Rare and far from spawn: the Sand Maw in a grotto under the desert, the Glacier Colossus asleep in an ice hall in the snowy peaks, the Ember Heart in the crater of the Fire Mountain, the Deep Mother in a sunken temple at the bottom of a deep ocean, the Skarrn in a burnt clearing in the woods. Vaskar's Guide and folded maps show the way.
What do I do with a trophy?
Take it to Master Brann under his hill in the mountains, with sixteen gold ingots. He forges each trophy into something of its own, and with enough trust he makes masterworks from several.
My game is slow. What helps?
Opus has a 'weak computer' switch in its client config, and settings for detail distance, particles and effects.
Does it work with other mods?
Opus has compatibility for Create, Jade, Epic Fight and map mods (JourneyMap waypoints). Roads joins villages of other mods. Tell us in the Discord if something clashes.
Do the mods send data?
Remains (and Opus and the Bestiary, if installed) send anonymous statistics: a random install id, versions, minutes played and counts of what happened. No IP, name, UUID, world or chat. Turn it off in config/vaskars-telemetry.properties with enabled=false. The statistics page on this site shows what comes of it.
Can I turn the blood off, or make bodies last longer?
Yes. Remains has a Brutality setting from clean bones to full, and a settings page in game for rot, scavengers, crows, blood and the rest. The wiki lists every setting with its default.
